Elizabeth Elaine Cartwright, age 84, a lifelong resident of Brimley, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan, after a brief illness. She was born on July 14, 1940, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Harry and Mary (Shields) Cartwright.

Elizabeth was known as Elaine to her friends and family. She enjoyed bicycling, feeding songbirds, tending to her roses, and watching soap operas.

Elaine is survived by her sister, Mary A. (Lajoice) Charles of Dollar Settlement, Michigan; nephew, Steven (Stacy) Charles of Dollar Settlement; great-nephew, Waylon (Elizabeth) Charles of Brimley; and cousin, Gary Demerse of Brimley.

A small Graveside Service will be held at Dollar Settlement Cemetery on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Rodney Case, officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Elaine to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter, 3660 S. Mackinac Trail, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
