Elaine (Mastaw) McMaster-Faragher, age 95, of Walled Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Waterford, Michigan. She was born April 16, 1930, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Alphonse and Agnes Mastaw.

Upon graduating from Loretto High School, she made her home in lower Michigan, where she built a life centered around family and hard work. A determined and compassionate woman, Elaine became a successful businesswoman as the Owner and Administrator of Adult Foster Care Homes, dedicating her career to providing care, dignity, and a safe environment for those she served.

Elaine was a devoted mother to Robert McMaster and Lisa (Jeffrey) Letosky. She took great pride in her children and the family she nurtured with love, strength, and unwavering support.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Lisa; grandchildren, Alexandra, Shannon, Bobbie, Nicole, Patricia, and Amber; great-grandchildren, Lily, Noah, and Jasper; brothers, Brian (Joyce) Mastaw, Gerald Mastaw, and Franklin Mastaw; and sister, Nancy (Lawrence) Evans; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Alphonse and Agnes; son, Robert McMaster; brothers, Charles Mastaw, Johnny Mastaw, Richard Mastaw, Daniel Mastaw, and William Mastaw; sisters, Theresa Barr, Patricia Cox, Geneva Smith, Carol Ostrander, Darlene Smith, and Mary Catherine Mastaw.

A Memorial Mass will be held on December 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 320 East Portage Avenue, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. A luncheon will follow at the Sault Tribe Cultural Center, 11 Ice Circle Chi Mukwa, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Elaine's final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie.
