Edward David Foster, age 80, of Hessel, Michigan, died at his home on March 21, 2023. He was born in Delray, Michigan, on June 19, 1942, to Raborn and Grace (Simon) Foster of Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Ed married JoEllen Sipos on August 20, 1988, in Vermillion, Ohio. He worked as a journeyman maintenance welder at the Great Lakes Steel in Ecorse, Michigan, and the Ford Motor Company,and retired from the Sheldon Road Plant in Plymouth, Michigan, in 2004. He moved his family to Hessel, Michigan, which was a lifelong dream.

Edward enjoyed working on any projects he could find. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Edward is survived by his daughters, Kathy Leibenguth of Hessel, Anique Foster of Hessel, and Adele Foster of Hessel; son, John Foster of Arizona; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Rayburn (Bev) Foster of Hessel and Michael (Barb) Foster of Hessel; and sister, Judy (Barry) Daniels of Culleoka, Tennessee.

Edward is preceded in death by his wife, JoEllen Foster; parents, Raborn and Grace Foster; sister, Janet Culter; son, William Foster; and daughter, Jennifer Foster.
