Dryden Carl Sutcliffe, age 28, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on Friday, July 24, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1998, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Douglas Sutcliffe Jr. and Heidi (Vaara) Sutcliffe.

Dryden grew up in Bessemer, Michigan, where he graduated from A D Johnston High School with the Class of 2016. He continued his education at Gogebic Community College, and in 2022 earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Engineering.

Growing up, Dryden enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, but his greatest passion was mastering skill toys. He took pride in performing impressive Kendama tricks and had a remarkable talent for juggling. He also found peace and enjoyment in the outdoors, where he loved exploring nature and appreciating its beauty.

Those who knew Dryden will remember his curiosity, determination to perfect a skill, and the joy he found in pursuing the things he loved.

Dryden is survived by his parents, Douglas Jr. and Heidi Sutcliffe of South Range, Michigan; his sister, Gabs Sutcliffe of South Range; grandparents, Carl and Kathy Vaara of Kimball, Wisconsin; and other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Dryden was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Holmes, and his grandfather, Douglas Sutcliffe Sr.
