Donald Ray Burtt, age 89, of Brimley, Michigan, died at the White Wiles Home in Rudyard, Michigan, on October 6, 2023. He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, on February 17, 1934, to William John and Mildred (Carr) Burtt.

Donald worked as a custodian for 25 years at the Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie. He also played scrimmages for the Redwings Softball.

Donald was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Sault Ste. Marie.

Donald was an enthusiastic sports fan—particularly baseball, he enjoyed supporting his favorite teams, reading and spending time with his family.

Donald is survived by his sister Lynda Mihaljevic of Lake Forest Illinois, children Bridgette Dominquez (Mike) of Englewood Colorado, Joey Burtt of Glendale Arizona, Pattie (Ken) Smallwood of Sault Ste Marie Michigan, Andy (Kimberly) Burtt of Oronoco, Minnesota and Dennis Burtt of Mesa Arizona along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred; wife, Marion (Burby); son, Don (Bonz) Burtt Jr.: and siblings John, Dorothy, Carl, Earl, Ira, Irene, Clayton, Vera, Maxine, Freddy and Larry.
