Obituaries

Della Kathryn Hoffman, age 62, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at My Michigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie.

Della was born on June 19, 1960, in Gary, Indiana, to Richard and Emily (Thoman) Greene. She graduated from William A. Wirt High School in Miller, IN. On May 2, 1985, she married Ronald Hoffman in Portage, IN. Della worked as a Dental Assistant, and more recently, as a Teacher’s Aide in Special Education. Della enjoyed many hobbies including: scrapbooking, needle felting, crocheting, beadwork, and photography. She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.

Della is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children: Meaghan Hoffman and Zachary Hoffman, both of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; her brothers: Michael (Ann) Greene of Hebron, IN; Timothy (Mary Jean) Greene of Beverly Shores, IN; and David (Mildred) Greene of Portage, IN. Also surviving Della is her sister: Janet (Kenneth) Keller of Valparaiso, IN.

Della was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Gretchen Greene; and a brother: Robert Greene.

Per Della’s wishes, no public services will be held at this time.

She asks only those who loved her would remember her fondly from happier times.

A Celebration of Life/Memorial event will be scheduled at a later time.
