Debra Kay (Bawks) Cryderman, age 70, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on July 14, 2025, in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on July 20, 1954, in Sault Ste. Marie, to Gerald and Ina (Winger) Bawks.

Debra grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and attended Sault Area High School. She built a life marked by dedication, compassion, and hard work. She spent many years caring for others while working at Brinks Care Center in Algonquin. Later in life, she fearlessly took on a new challenge and started a career in trucking, before eventually working at Soo Plastics. Known for her tireless work ethic, Debra approached every job, and every role in her life, with commitment and heart.

Among the things she held most dear was caring for her father during the final years of his life. Her love and devotion extended to her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored and cherished deeply.

Debra had a spirited personality and a curious heart. She was often seen chasing fire trucks or ambulances, always wanting to know what was happening around town. She loved playing cards with family and friends, and no trip around town was complete without a stop at Dairy Queen for her favorite ice cream treat.

Debra was a proud and faithful member of the First Free Methodist Church.

Debra is survived by her son, Gerald Cryderman of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Jaylynne (Austin) Mackey, Bailey Cryderman, and Kassidy Cryderman; siblings, Wally (Melanie) Bawks, Bonnie (Ron) Raffaele, and Lori (Jim) Henderson all of Sault Ste. Marie; and many nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Ina; and niece, Kelsey Raffaele.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
