Obituaries

Debora “Debbie” Louise Sutton, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away
on May 21, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on September 24, 1951, in Sault Ste. Marie,
Michigan, to James and Louise (LaLonde) Pesola.

Debbie grew up in Pontiac, Michigan, and graduated from Pontiac Central High School with the
Class of 1969. In 1972, she married William “Bill” Sutton, and together they built a life centered
on love and family.

Debbie found joy in her faith and community. She loved sewing, knitting, and baking - especially
her famous Christmas cookies, treasured by family and friends each holiday season.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, William; children, Steven (Shannon) Sutton of
Ortonville, Michigan, and Shanna Sutton of Clarkston, Michigan; grandson, Gavin Sutton; and
brother, Gorden Pesola of Oakland Township, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise; and sister, Sue Ellen Pesola.

Debbie’s final resting place will be Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township, Michigan, where a Graveside Service will be held on May 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
