Clyde Lamont Truesdell, age 78, of Pickford, Michigan, died peacefully surrounded by family at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan, on July 11, 2023. He was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on August 7, 1944, to Forest and Betty Jean (Haverkate) Truesdell.

Clyde graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1964. He farmed with his dad growing up and then went to work for the Wayne County Road Commission after graduation. After twenty years working for Wayne County, Clyde retired and finally fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning a resort in the Upper Peninsula in 1995.

Clyde was a member of the Stalwart Community Church.

Clyde was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a very proud grandpa of his seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He loved having his family around as often as possible. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dogs through the years, Ace, Bo, and Chester.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue; daughter, Kris Clatterbuck; son, Ken Truesdell; grandchildren, Josh (Aryn) Truesdell, Kaitlin (Mat) Arbic, Shayla (Brian) Fenn, Ashley Clatterbuck, Taylor Truesdell, Kayla Truesdell, and Anjelina Truesdell; great-grandchildren, Dominik Arbic, and Mason Truesdell.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Truesdell; sister, Linda Pocrnic; and niece, Kay Ann Anderson.

Per Clyde’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
