Obituaries

Cecil Lee Jones, age 93, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on December 10, 2025, at his home. He was born on May 30, 1932, in Proctor, Oklahoma, to Marion and Lula (Newton) Jones.

Cecil is survived by his children; Patrick (Lynne) Jones of Longmont, Colorado, Nancy (Sean) Beebe of St. Joseph Michigan; grandchildren, Justin, Devon, Hali, and Kelli; and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Killips) Jones; sons, John Paul Jones and Cecil Jones Jr.; and grand-daughter, Sara Beebe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 320 East Portage Ave., Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 Noon.

Cecil’s final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery, with the burial to happen in the summer of 2026.
