Bruce Duane Harrod, age 70, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on October 16, 2025. He was born on August 11, 1955, in East Tawas, Michigan, to Everett Lawis Harrod and Dorothy Freel Fielder.

Bruce enjoyed the simple life and found his own piece of paradise at The Narrows in Sault Ste. Marie. He was particularly fond of the serenity, natural beauty, and watching the ships glide by in the water. He had a love for both country and community and was a thoughtful and respectful neighbor.

Bruce enjoyed music, computers, photography, fixing things, and any household project he could get his hands into.

Bruce is survived by his sons; Bruce (Jennifer) Harrod and Christopher Harrod; grandchildren, Dominic Harrod, Amy Harrod, Emma Harrod, Natalie Harrod, Kierstyn Martin, Travis Martin, Hannah Martin Almas, and Bailey Martin; four great-grandchildren; siblings; Paula (Andrew) Savage, Sharon (Robert) Rowland, Brenda (James) Post, Debra (Joel) McGuire, Dana (Darrin) Valdez, and Gerald (Jennifer) Harrod; many nieces and nephews; and his long-time friend, Terry Bolling.

Bruce was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Harrod Martin; parents; Everett Lawis Harrod and Dorothy Freel Fielder; sister; Tracy Harrod Marling; and granddaughter, Dominique Martin.

Following Bruce’s wishes, no services will be held.
