Brenda Mae Laaksonen, age 60, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away on January 23, 2023.

Brenda was born on April 25, 1962, in Flint, Michigan to the late John and Gladys (Bentley) Myers. On June 24, 2000, she married Marty Laaksonen in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. She enjoyed canoeing, camping, watching soap operas, and swimming in a heated pool. Brenda loved shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her husband: Marty Laaksonen; her children: Sandra Stuart, Fred Stuart, Kimberly (Donald) Starnes, and Tasha (Nick) Smalley-Rozell all of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; and 12 grandchildren: Alyx, London, Myaha, Saphire, Harley, Landin, Elena, Elijah, Bentley, Ava, Wyatt, and Luna. Brenda was also survived by her siblings: John (Diane) Myers of Burton, Michigan, Christine Fountain of Lapeer, MI, and Daniel (Nikki) Myers of Saginaw, Michigan.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter: Annabelle, who was a twin to Ava. Services will be announced at a later time.
