Obituaries

With sorrowful hearts, our family announces the death of Bonnie Lee Jensen, age 83, of DeTour, Michigan. She went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2025, at her home. Bonnie was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, on June 3, 1942, in her family home to Elmo and Beulah.

Though she was most recently a resident of DeTour, she has lived all over the United States and made many, many friends. She was a blessing and comfort to everyone she encountered. Bonnie was a kind soul and would take in anyone that was in need. She was a support and advocate for the most vulnerable populations, ranging from fostering children to assisting the elderly, making a hot meal to enjoy or inviting those in for a safe place to sleep. Everyone she met knew that she would be there with a warm smile, comforting hug, and empathetic ear. Bonnie was one-of-a-kind and would give you the shirt off her back. She was loved, respected, and admired by all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Adolf) Julian of New Mexico; son, Michael Jensen of Kansas and Elmo (Pauline) Jensen of Pennsylvania; daughter, Starr Veneno-Jensen of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Bethany, Andrew, Melissa, Michael, Keva, Eric, Levi, and Nicole; twenty-three great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Upton; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and wonderful neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Michael Jensen; and her parents, Elmo and Beulah.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
