Audrey June (Barbian) Harrison, age 84, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on July 27,
2025, at Medilodge of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born on January 25, 1941, in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Nicholas and Goldia (Wetzel) Barbian.

Audrey’s nickname growing up was “Peatice.” She met her former husband, Fred Harrison, at a
wedding reception and they married the very next day on September 30, 1961. Audrey was a stay-at-home mother to their eight kids.

Audrey quit school at the age of seventeen, but in 1986, at the age of 45, she graduated from an
alternative school in Sault Ste. Marie and got her high school diploma. In her younger years, she was in a bowling league. She liked to shop and do crossword puzzles. She was a fanatic for Elvis Presley and even had his pictures plastered all over her apartment walls. Though she did not have much money, she loved giving to charities. She also liked to write poems and make people laugh, which she did so well because she always said she got her sense of humor from her dad.

Audrey was a member of the Red Hats, she had a love for hats.

Audrey spent the last year of her life in a nursing home where she enjoyed coloring, playing
bingo, and making people laugh.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Cheryle (Don) Chio of Dafter, Michigan, Evelyn (Allen)
Campbell of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, Doiane (Mark) Coleiro of Perry, Michigan, and Amy Burkman of Sault Ste. Marie; sons, Fred (Jenny) Harrison Jr. of Gaylord, Michigan and William (Bonnie) Harrison of Sault Ste. Marie; siblings, Carol Lambert of Milwaukee, and Nick Barbian of Rowlett, Texas; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Audrey was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Gosior and Elizabeth Harrison; former
husband, Fred; grandson, Kyle; parents, Nicholas and Goldia; siblings, Patricia Lampe, Vi Damitz, Bev Gropp, and Jimmy Barbian.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Family Life
Funeral Home, 4951 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM with the burial to follow immediately after.

Audrey’s final resting place will be at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township, Michigan.
