Allen Roy “Bud” Green III, age 38, passed away at home unexpectedly, with his mother and stepfather by his side on October 8, 2025. He was born in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, on April 11, 1987, to the late Al Green and Lindy Mattox and he is the second oldest of four children

Bud attended St. Ignace Area Schools until the early 2000s and later continued his education at Rudyard ISD Schools. He was known for his kind and friendly nature, which helped him form many meaningful connections. His infectious smile, laughter, and lighthearted spirit left lasting impressions on everyone who knew him. Bud had a deep love for his family and animals and found joy in numbers, music, and watching WWE.

Bud is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lindy Mattox and Kevin McNamara of Moran, Michigan; sisters, Samantha Green of Kingsford, Michigan, Glenda (Blake) Loebach of Engadine, Michigan, and Sara Olson-Green (Theodore Olson) of St. Ignace, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Lilly Campbell, Jamisin Green, Leyna Green, Athena Roe, Eli Olson, Evan Olson, Elise Olson, Josephine Loebach and Brycen Loebach; uncle, Dale Woodford; aunts, Christine Sutter and Lois Green; and uncle, Dan Green; as well as many other family members who will all miss him dearly.

Bud was proceeded in death by his father, Allen Roy Green Jr.; grandparents, Pauline and Ronald Halberg; grandmother, Philma Leazier; grandfather, Glenn Mattox Sr.; aunt, Sonya (David) Sayles; and uncles, Samuel Green and Glenn Mattox Jr.

Visitation will be held on October 16, 2025, at Family Life Funeral Homes, 999 S. State Street St. Ignace, MI 49781, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow immediately at 4:00 PM. A luncheon will be held downstairs following the service. Let's celebrate his life with the #4 George.
