Marquette County, Michigan. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Negaunee Post is announcing
the arrest of 24-year-old Zachary Erik Weisman from Ishpeming for Child Sexually Abusive
Activity and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.
Weisman was arrested following an investigation that was initiated when it was alleged
Weisman had numerous explicit images of underage children. A subsequent search of his
residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Weisman was charged with fifteen counts of Child Sexually Abusive Activity and fifteen counts
of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime. Weisman was arraigned in the 96th District Court on
April 28, 2025. His bond was set at thirty-thousand dollars ($30,000) and he is scheduled to be
in court again on May 08, 2025.
If convicted, Weisman faces up to 20 years in prison for the Child Sexually Abusive Activity and
20 years in prison for Using a Computer to Commit a Crime. The defendant is considered
innocent unless proven guilty.
The MSP Negaunee Post was assisted by the MSP Computer Crimes Unit during this
investigation.
