SAULT STE MARIE, MI — With the ongoing battle to fight the COVID-19 virus in Michigan, hospitals and first responders are running critically low on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A general request was made for assistance from anyone who could help.
To the rescue came local surgical equipment manufacturer, Precision Edge. Through their own supplies, they were able to donate 6000 non-latex gloves to Chippewa County First Responders and their Boyne City facility also donated 6000 gloves for Chippewa, Charlevoix and Cheboygan counties.
BUT WAIT! There’s more!
On Wednesday, April 1, Precision Edge took their generosity even further by donating 3700 masks to War Memorial Hospital. Up to 1500 additional masks are expected to be delivered to Chippewa County EMS within the next couple days.
