Sault Ste. Marie, MI — Effective at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020, Seasonal Load and Speed Restrictions will be enforced on the City Street Systems until further notice. The Seasonal Load and Speed Restrictions will apply to all City Streets except for the following streets which are designated as All-Season Routes:
- West Easterday Avenue – I-75 to West 12th Street
- Three Mile Road – I-75 to West 20th Street
Overloads will not be permitted during the period of Seasonal Load and Speed Restrictions.
Further, new transport permit fees were implemented effective July 1, 2017 as shown below. Operators should take note of the new fees and call the City Engineering Department with any questions regarding the new fees.
